Default vafc???

after installing my vafc, i couldnt set my vtec engagement...in the manual 99 ludes dont use the VTM wire but i was told that that was the wire for the vtec engagement so i looked that up and found another diagram for the 99 ludes that does use the VTM wire. so i hooked it up where it said to hook it up and then now my vtec seems like it wont engage at all. it seems to slightly come on then fade away after 5500 rpm. i have it set to engage at 5000 rpm i thought it might be my fuel settings on the narrow and wide throttle correction but after i set everything down to zero it still did the same thing...im lost!!!! any help would be appreciated

I have experienced the exact same problem with my Prelude, Vtec comes in but not as hard anymore it sounds kind of funny too abit tinny! Have you found out what the problem is yet?
I have chechked absolutely everything, coil, plugs, leads, ECU, Compresion, Vtec solonoid, popped the rocket cover and checked the cams but everything is 100%.
I have no idea what it is?
