4th Gen VTEC specific Preludes have H22s and all 5th Gens have H22s.

93-2001

97-2001 the H22 was standard. 93-96 they had 3 models. S, Si, Si-VTEC 93-96 VTEC models are pretty rare.

The 4th gen started in 92 but wasnt offered with H22a1 (obd1) until 93, which had 190 horse and somewhere around 165 torque I believe. Even then it was only an option. In 97 they made them standard with a H22a4 (obd2) with 195 horse and 160 torque. 1999 and newer till its demise in 2001 they had 200 horse.

That 5 hp difference between the years is BS. Just a marketing ploy by Honda to get people to buy Ludes.

It could be true seeing as it would only require a slight tweak with the air to feul, but still it might be just BS.

thats what honda "said"
they claim the 5HP improvement in HP for the 99+ is due to a "redesigned exhaust manifold"

if u believe that ^ then i have bridge to sell you.
