Default Speaker ? for 4th gen

I am about to replace the speakers in my 4th gen Si, cuz one of them is blown. But I will be damned if I can figure out how to remove the cover from the speaker. Do I just rip the $hit out or what? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Bob

The cover is actually part of the door panel, so you have to remove the entire panel. Ther should be a screw behind the door handle that you have to remove, and one inside the little plastic part that you grab to close the door from inside, and maybe one or two more on the panel itself behind small plastic covers. Once you have removed all the screws get your fingers or a small screwdriver between the panel and door and separate them. You might have to tug hard, but the panel should pop off. Once the panel comes loose you will have to disconnect the electrical harnesses for the power windows and locks if you have them. After Once the panel is off you can remove the speaker no problem. If you are removing the rear speakers, the cover doesn't come off if I remember correctly. The whole speaker is held in by three nuts that unscrew from inside the trunk. They are pretty easy to get off.
