Hi, I have a 1999 Prelude and the ABS brake light on the dash board occasionally comes on when I press the brae really hard. It doesn't happen all the time, and sometimes after I have driven for awhile, the problem goes away. I have not notice any difference in the performance of the brake. Does anyone have similar problem before and what was wrong with it?

Check your brake fluid level lately?

 

check fluid and make sure u have same size tires on all 4 wheels. Check ABS sensors on all 4 wheels to see if they are not bolted down tightly (i had this problem, goddamn body shop). Also check your pads and rotors, if they are binding that could cause this.
More than likely it is a fluid issue.

had that same exact problem for awhile. upgraded my pads and the problem went away.
