Default Gen 3 Radio Question

I have recently purchased an '89 Prelude 20 Si, the radio is a piece of junk! I was wondering if any of you out there would know what years and models I can choose from to put strait in without messing with the wireing harness. I'd Like a CD/ Tape combo if possible!

Thanks for the help!

Mike

Well there is no direct replacement radio.....and if you want a cd/tape combo, the only one that will fit in a single din opening is made by Sanyo.

Now as far as the wiring goes, you will not have to hack into that (this is where wiring harness adapters come in handy) Goto any major stereo store (Circuit City, Best Buy, or any local stereo shop. They will have a simple plug and play harness to fit your car.

Once you get teh harness, it is very simple to connect, all you have to do is match colors. Get a good set of crimps and some wire strippers, and you will be good to go. YOu can use barrel connectors or solder them together and cover that conection with shrink tubes.

Hope that helps !!!

Thanks Stock, that is what i'm trying to find out! I don't want to mess with the wiring, i have instralled a LOT of sterios and i'm tired of it, i DON'T want to spend a small fortune on wireing Adaptors either :-( I was hopinh that someone would know what models carry the same Plugs on the radio. Eg. I have an 89 Dodge Van, the radio from a junk '98 Prelude fits RIGHT in... no mods, no wiring, no nuttin! :-)

As for yours, do you have a pic of the back i can get from you? (front too) How well does it work? what are you asking? you can Email me at Psychowolfd1@hotmail.com

Thanks
