hi,

I get noise when im accelerating at RPMs above 2500 and drops when my change gear as RPMs drop and goes higher again....any ideas what could it be before i head to the mechanic ??

Does it sounds like a Soda can with rocks in it? My 1992 Prelude Si did that and It ended up being a Main bearing along the crank shaft spun out. It's still in the shop because it would cost to much to repair so I'm looking for either a cheap H22a or I will be Parting/Selling the whole thing. Personaly I would have it looked at before it gets worse. I got about $15,000 into my car and Its been sitting for about 6 months because of this.

 

ppl on prelude australia forum seem to think its the drive shaft...a mechanic seem to think its bottom end of the engine coz the sound does come from somewhere deep in the car might be lookin at a engine swap

 

It could be something simple.

 

verdict from mechanic engine is gone so im gonna put a JDM vtec....while the engine is out

What other small performance upgrades can i go for coz im taking the engine out anyway...and if i get the stuff in my freinds container from japan what other stuff should i chuck in there ?
