UNDERDRIVE QUESTION on 3rdGen Prelude
What's up guys.
I now have an '89 Prelude Si (b20a5) and the AC needed recharging, but I wasn't gonna bother because I hardly ever use it anyway. Well, NOW, the power steering is gone and, with as light as that car is, I'm fine without it (I'm a pretty big guy, so control is no problem).
My thing is, in order to regain some of my lost HP, I was just going to rip out the AC and the power steering systems. I don't need the AC for defrost because, as small as the car is, the heater pumps enough heat in that I can crack the window to even out the pressure and, VOILA, makeshift defroster!!.Anyway, the power-steering and AC are the two pumps that I know are running off of the 2nd belt. What I need to know is :
What, if any, other systems are running off of that same belt???
My plan was to just clip the belt and rip out the AC and P/S, but I don't want to do that if there are any important systems running intertwined with those, ya know??

Power Steering has it's own belt. so you can just remove that if you don't want it.
The AC and Alternator share the other belt. What you'll need to do is, buy an alternator belt for a prelude without AC. (Honda # 31110-PK2-0040 or generic# 5PK875 )
