Default Cold Air vs. Cold Air V2

I know there are a bunch of intake posts, however I havent seen many posts about the aem cold v2. Ive got a 2000 5spd lude. I been planning on gettin a v2 intake. I went on the aem site and saw that the v2 intake gave the lude about 7hp. AEM also said that the V2 tone isnt as deep and loud as the reg AEM cold air. I was wondering if any of u guys know how much hp the reg AEM cold air gives cuz i really love that deep sound the cold air gives. If the reg cold air gives me like 5 hp plus a bigger sound I might consider that instead. Suggestions and comments please.......

you'll be lucky to get that much from a cai, any cai. do you really want to spend close to $300 for a metal tube with a filter on the end?

Hell, go to Home Depot and buy ur own piping. All intakes are the same, the filter is where u want to invest ur money. And I bet the 7 psi they got was on a K series engine.
