Default h22 sleeves

I'm new to this site. came across it on google when doing a search on this question.
I have a '93 lude h22 turbo. just took apart the motor and noticed that the sleeves were diff. I know that they are made of a diff. material and have been told by alot of people that I cannot put forged pistons in the stock sleeves. so I called wisco and they told me that that was true in '96 and up h22's . well as I said b-4 once looking at my stock sleeves it seemes that wisco was wrong.
need to know what I need to do to be able to install the pistons that I have.
anyone one with any experiance please respond.

As far as I know you do need to resleeve if you do forged pistons due to the cylinder sleeves not being able to handle the higher heat output made by the pistons. This affects all of the h22's. This may be wrong but its to the best of my knowledge

Rightly said by sleepersol, the first internal mod on any potential high horsepower
h22 is resleeving the block.Wisco was right those stock sleeves cant handle
the heat prduced by the pistons and can cause catastrophic engine failure.

Default re-sleeving

even if you wanted to put new stock pistons on your block you would need to re-sleeve your block. this is because your sleeves arent the exact same diameter as it was b4 you drove it. i have a 98 lude turbo that needs a rebuilt motor.

wisco said that I'd be fine with the stock sleeves. that's where the confusion came in. they said a '92 to '95 h22 has iron sleeves. not (frn)
