Default How do tell the difference????

Between a 92-96 H22a and a 97-01 H22????? I am just curious becasue I was under impression the they were alike.

Engine code is different I think. Hope this helps?

Thanks for the help. Where would I look to find the engine code??? I think its this one H22A 2.2 16V DOHC VTEC PGM-FI 2157 220hp@7200rpm 163tq@6500rpm 97-01 Prelude SiR

There is a little square with the engine code on it, like this....

Then you have a JDM motor. There is no straight "H22" motor. ALL motors will be followed by an A and if it's US or Euro, a number as well. H22A is JDM, H22A1 is the 92-96 USDM, and H22A4 is the 97-01 USDM, there is also the H22A7 which is the Accord Euro R motor, and various others which you will have to look at the head stamp to figure out which it is, such as the type S motor.
