Default Broken Speedometer

My speedometer up'ed and stopped working this morning. Anyone know off the top what it could be? What should I check?

Check ur speed sensor. I have the same problem right now and my speed sensor went bad. That could be your problem.

I'll vote speed sensor too. Although I did get a check engine light with that, cruise didn't work and VTEC didn't engage any more as well.

Is this something I'll have to take to a mechanic to fix? Or is it easy enough to do? Will replacing the cluster fix he problem? And could anyone tell me where the speed sensor is?

I think the VSS, Vehicle Speed Sensor is on the transmission. This would stop your speedo from working, and it would also disable your cruise control if you have one. If it's an auto tranny it would also disable your vehicles ability to go into overdrive, and you'd be at unusually high RPMs at speeds of over 60. But since it's probably not an auto just disregard.
If thats not it you can order a new gauge cluster, which is what people have had to do after botched gauge face plate installs.
