My friend has a 2001 Auto lude with 40,000 miles on it. He bought it with 29,000 miles on it from the local honda dealer. He drives in SS mode a lot so how often shoudl he change the tranny fluid and do you guys recommend Mobil 1 synthetic ATF? he thinks the 30,000 mile service was done before he bought it but does that include a tranny fluid change?

 

I have a 2001 too, with the same tranny. I change mine every 15,000 with Redline. He might also investigate tranny coolers, they're cheap. Cheers
