Prelude SH Turbo ???
HI,
I own a prelude SH 98 and I was told by Greddy that a turbo can't be put on my car cause it's a SH and the ATTS will stop my torque at 200 pounds. Is that true, or there is a way to do it ? Anyone have sean a SH turbo ?
Thanks !

good thread, I have the same question..... Also, if it turns out that we CAN'T have turbos, I've seen a Jackson Racing supercharger for preludes, but it doesn't specify SH or not. It just says Prelude. Can we SH'ers drop the supercharger?
that's a load of bull. our H22 is no different than the base model except for more aggressive cams. you CAN boost it but the ATTS would disengage if the engine produced more than 250 horses. and our engines don't like boost because it's a high compression engine. on stock internals, we can't safely boost with more than half a bar. but if you plan on turbo charging it anyways, why do you want to run on stock internals?
^^^ yah. You can boost an SH, but the ATTS just turns into dead weight after 250 whp. Stock H series don't like boost. But that is why you build your engine up and get low comp. pistons.

Dirtylude, who's on TPC (Toronto Prelude Club: www.hondaprelude.to), h-t, and a few other boards, has a turboed SH. I belive his ATTS is still working, and his car is putting down well over 250whp. You might want to PM him about it if you see him at another board.
