Hi everyone. I have a 98 Prelude but would like the newer style grill, the crossed one with the Prelude badge in it. Im ordering the grill but I have a few simple questions first. First question is when did they change over to the newer grill? I'm pretty sure it was 1999. Second question, Im pretty sure it should just go right into my car the same as it would a 99 right? Thanks in advanced.

 

Nevermind, did a search and answered my own question.

 

Hey, uh, how does the grille attach to the car? (talking about the lower grille, if that's what you mean). I actually made my own grille for the prelude. Cut it out of some type of pet gaurd grille to stop pets from busting through screen doors (I know wtf). I spray painted it black after cutting out the right shape - it looks pretty professional now. I just need a way to attach the grille to the bumper.

 

Im not sure how the lower one attaches havent looked, sorry I cant be of service but the one I replaced was the upper smaller one that meets the hood line.

 

how much did you get the grill for?

 

I got it from a local Honda dealer new, without the emblem it was listed at 118. We have to preffered customer thing though so I only had to pay 80.
