Default Header Question

Hey guys I'm going to buy a DC Sports header for my 98 lude. My question is... Is it worth spending the extra money on stainless steel or should I just get the ceramic one? I've heard things about both such as the ceramic will chip off after a wile because of the heat, And I heard the stainless steel will turn colors because of the heat. Sorry for the dumb question I'm sure it's been asked before. Thanks for the help.

I was always under the impression that the ceramic was better for the heat that the header produces and It actually helps lower underhood temps....but then again I could be wrong

Eventually it will because it's only ceramic coated. DC isn't gonna give you much of any hp gains, so it really doesn't matter which you get.

It depends on if you're going all motor, or plan to boost in the future.

What would you recommend for each? Right now, I'm going all-motor (I have an SH, so no turbo for me, but that Jackson Racing supercharger's in my dreams!) but there are plenty of people out there running boost, and I'm sure they'd like to know what to do in their case.

If ur goin N/A, fork over the dough for an SMSP, Hytech, Mugen, etc. Don't get a DC because they give little to no gains over stock. If ur getting a JRSC i believe u'll be fine with the header you get now. If you plan to go turbo however, and u need a header now, get a used DC or a stock.
