Default questions about need of boost controller

i have a 4th gen lude with a garrett t3/t4 turbo and a 5 psi spring and it spooled at around 2500 or 2800 rpm's and i was wondering with the boost controller could i change when the turbo spooled and would i have to change the waste gate or just leave it with the wastegate i have now with the 5 psi spring. i dont know exactily what wastegate i currently have..also, if i had the turbo spooling at higher rpm's would that give me better fuel economy? btw, i have a vortech fmu. and how much would a new spring for the wastegate be if i wanted a higher boost?

thanks.

I'd get something like a greddy profec-b to control your boost. Its also nifty b/c unlike a manual boost controller you don't have to pop your hood to adjust settings
