Default Can a 5th Gen Lude beat a Civic Si

It is my understanding that the new Civic Si's are kind of slow but can a Lude beat a '99-'00 Si or are they pretty equal and is it a drivers race? Thanks!

I had a civic si run with me it ran 15.4 don't know what he had done but it had i/h/e for sure. My car ran 15.1 at best stock in a 99 sh! Go another quarter mile and the civic will be no were around!

preludes own civics evan if for some reason they lose.
thats just my opinion.
if i had to chose between the two, I HAVE to go with the prelude.

the new SI's are slow
they have the base k20 but lack any real power IMO
i can barely feel the secondaries open when in VTEC
i had a better feeling with the SI eg coupe, those dont look like minivans
but yeah a lude 5th gen would rape the EP3 anyday

Racing is more than the 1/4.

I own a manual Base and went up against a Si, Togue style at night and it did pretty well considering he had a extra passenger and was an automatic.

I kept up with him for over half the distance but lost my nerve in the end.

I know I could have passed him but, I didn't want to risk crashing into incoming traffic
