Default idle probs...help!!!

my sister in law drove her just tuned up cherry 85 prelude 2.0 si into a ditch. body wise it just bent the fender a bit and ive already replaced it. However every time you try to start the thing, the idle just climbs to max rpm and stays there. i had two ideas. one being the tps but that wasnt it when i hooked up a new one. the computer isnt throwin any codes, but i have a feeling thats what the problems going to be since there is no throttle response and im not even touching the gas pedal. any other ideas?????
thnx

umm....screwed up intake manifold gasket? actually, i'd take off your intake tube off the throttle body, start the car, and see what the butterfly valve does. if it's closed, but the car's still at max rpm, check your idle air control valve, fast idle air control valves. if it just falls open or something, i'd guess it's more of a mechanical problem, like your throttle cable, pulley, spring is disconnected....but yeah, i'd check that.

2 thing i would check. listen near the intake manifold and see if u can hear any air leaking out. mine did that b/c when the shop i went to put in my motor they screwed up putting back the manifold. another thing is it prolly would be that the throttle valve is stuck open a little, that would make the ecu think that your on the gas when ur realli not so adjust the throttle cable so that the valve closes. thats all that i can think of
