Default spark plug wires

my question is.. are there any differences between stock spark plus wires and ones with bigger diameters? do u really get hp gains? (i kno not to believe most things on ebay), but sumone has told me that too... so i was just curious.

heres the spark plug wires im looking at. >>http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33692 <<

do u think those are real JDM wires? and is 10.2mm bigger than stock? sorry for the noob questions. but i'd like to know once and for all.

thanks for reading.

Plug wires are a good idea, but don't get those. They are only 3 core. I have wires that are 9.5 mm. wires, and they are a 5 core wire. since electrical current is carried on the outside of the strand, not the center, 5 cores are going to have more outside area than 3 cores. Another thing to consider: are you going to be upgrading your whole ignition system? or just the wires? If just the wires, go for a set of Nology's, due to the fact that they have a built in capasitive discharge system. If you just get a good set of wires for now, and upgrade the ignition later (setup I have), the new ignition system will put those new wires to their full use.

that's pretty good, but yeah those are probably not even as good as the OEM honda wires
like someone stated earlier, if you dont plan to upgrade your ignitions system i recommend going for a set of NGK's

The ones I got are made by a company called 5 star, they rad about 160 bucks 3 years ago. but only consider them if you get a new ignition box like an MSD, Crane, Jacobs, etc. otherwise, go for the Nology's which are around the same price if not a little more.
