I have a set of full clears (not on the car, of course) that I got off ebay for like 14 bux or something. I got a can of Testors Candy apple red spray & sherwin williams spray clear that's supposed to do an awesome job. when i get some time, i'm gonna make myself some all reds. yes, i realize this will tint my backup lighting, but that's okay.

Yes that's a great idea ,, but you are not going to paint in the whole surface, just take a strong clear tape (the ones for packaging) and cover the whole area around the backup lights (you cover with good pressure), then with a good knife and a ruler (LOL , works) cut off the tape (outside the backup area), so the part that is going to stay is the part that you don't want to paint (backup lights) , after painting and drying just take off, i'll work and look awesome!
That's a good way to go, i have mine for a year already and still looks great .. once start the go bad .. i'll repaint or even re-do . is not expensive and looks great!
