Hey guys, I recently got a 98 prelude with sportshift automatic. I'm still pretty new to the car so I have a few questions, sorry if it's really noobish of me but they're things I would like to know. Could someone tell me the safe RPM range for the manual sportshifting? For both casual driving and racing. I don't race but I love to drive fast

My advice would be shift at the beginning of the redline!!!!

 

I would say at the least shift at 7000 the redline for the 5 speed manual is 7400 either way your ecu will cut your fuel before you mess anything up but I would say no lower than 6800 I had an 89 lude although it didnt have a tru sportshift it had something close and I used to f@$k shit up in that car

 

you can shift anywhere you want up to redline
in the h22 it's like 7400 rpms so anywhere in between should be fine, just to shift to soon cause the car might not have enough tq to accelerate at 20 mph in 4th
