Why do you ask what car will beat this car and so on?
For example you asked Eclipse or 5th Gen Lude... now this? Go on edmunds.com look up the torque/hp or find out the hard way... race one.

 

definitely lude. civic cant catch up after 60 fo sho

 

I have a 98 lude and I smoked a new si. That is with 19" wheels. I have header, CAI, and catback exhaust.

 

the ephatch is very slow...not like the lude is some very fast car but its about 1 second faster in the quarter then the si...at least

 

I read somewhere the new Si 0-60 is 8.1 (slower than 99-00 Si 7.2) compared to 5th Gen Lude 7.2, the Lude should smoke the Si as long as the Lude is NOT TipTronic.

 

The Civic Si is ugly in my opinion to begin with, so naturally I recomend a 5th gen Prelude. I took one for a spin while I was at my dealer for maintainance once and I did not like it. It looks like a whimpy car, and it drives like a whimpy car. Well built, but whimpy.

 

Think:

Civics are economy cars, not sports cars

Preludes are Honda's sports car, along with S2000's

not Civics
