Default H22A Auto to Manual

okay, is a H22A Automatic different from a H22A 5 Speed Manual?

would they perform differently, how differently? also, can a H22A Automatic be changed to manual if so, for about how much?

There is no difference in the engine. The thing which needs swapping is the transmission (among several other manual transmission components).

If you can do it for $1500, you need to open up shop. A tranny swap is very labor intensive.

Dude, if a trany conversion is gonna cost you 3 grand, you might as well buy a 5 spd engine and trany, get that dropped in (less of a hassle) and sell ur auto motor on ebay or sumthin.

Located in South Florida $200.. Anyone? I've also got a ton of H23 parts from my H23-H22A swap.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. There is no difference in the engine mated to an auto or a 5spd. Plus its not just a drop in, you have to change out the front axels, add a clutch reservoir, change or modify the ECu, plus half a dozen other things either way. Don't make comments if you have no idea what you are talking about. No one on this site came here to get dumber.

Do you know how many extra little things you need to get and replace when you swap out trany's? If you buy a motor with a 5spd trany, you're getting all the things you'll need to replace anyways. I have no clue what the hell you're bitching about anyways.
