Steering
My friend has an 89 Prelude that has developed a suspension problem. After he had driven on the interstate for a while he noticed it pulling to the right as he slowed down for the exit. He doesn't remember hitting any huge potholes but the interstate does have plenty of smaller ones. I test drove the car in town and I was able to keep the wheel straight at 25mph with a little effort. As soon as I let go of the wheel the steering wheel pulls 3 inches to the right, returns 1 inch, pulls 3 inches, etc until you are at the curb. I jacked up the car and did a visual check of the suspension and could not see anything that was bent. I'm not sure what to check next. If it was a problem with the alignment I woul expect it to pull steadily to the right not keep jerking that way. The only other guesses I could come up with are maybe a cv joint or bearing? Any ideas of what I should check next to trouble shoot this? Thanks
