H22Z Engine?

Default H22Z Engine?

Hi, I just checked my engine code and it starts with H22Z, I been on the forum reading a lot of post and all the engines seem to start with H22A is there any difference between them?

i have never, ever, ever ever ever, have heard of such a thing! There are only H22a's...Then varients of that, ie H22a1, h22a4, etc...but H22z? nope

from what i can remember, i think the h22z was a motor that honda used for either a factory recall or something....don't quote me on it, but i think it was a motor that honda had to replace and that was it or something...i thought i remember a post on PO.com about it where someone had a picture of one...

h22z= code used for honda blocks that were made as spare/replacement parts...

meaning...it never went into the production cars and are made strictly for replacement reasons.

Is that a good thing or not, I'v never had a problem with it. I live in Australia as well anyone else have a H22Z?

The H22Z motor was only used in the Australian Vti-R trim of the 5th generation, according to wikipedia at least.

Yes.

Go check this info at preludeaustralia. A moderator at preludezone has a h22z.
