Default Why hondas burn oil

I'm at the dealer right now. Guy has been working on Hondas for 30 years and came out to greet me after seeing my Prelude had 234,000 miles on it.

It ain't the rings, it ain't the break in, it ain't wheather you use synthetic or not....

It's the cylinder bores/walls. They didn't use steel liners to save weight. It's is a more recent 4 cylinder thing that Honda has pulled. He said V6 accords don't have this problem.

You heard it here folks. Take that Gerhard!

I didnt know that honda's were prone to burning oil...

well, I guess my 270,000 mile D16 didnt either..
