Default DIY Clutch Install H22A

Hey guy... how hard is it to drop the trans and install a new clutch? How many guys have done it? This weekend I pretty much killed my clutch at the strip. Do I need to get a whole new kit of just a disk? I already have a Clutchmasters clutch installed.

Do i need to replace the whole clutch or just the clutch plate? And are there any good instructions?

the term "how hard" is relative. Ie I just swapped in a JDm so for me it's no biggie. What kind of mechanical experiance do you have?

1. jack up car
2. disconnect ball joints and let the suspension hang
3. remove axles from tranny
4. unbolt all transmison lines, and reverse indicators and sensors
5 unbolt tranny and drop
6. remove old clutch ( entire assembly, not just the plate)
7. have flywheel re-surfaced or replace w/ fidanza while you are in there
8. install clutch
9. replace tranny housing, lines ect
reinstall axles and bolt up the suspension

Do you need to get the new flywheel? Or get it resurfaced?
