Default Just bought a 00'prelude

Well i thought i was going to buy a civic, but the dealership just got a prelude on a trade in, it was the only one ive seen on a lot in a very long time, so i drove it. Its pearl white, 5 spd, spoiler power everything. I am new to the prelude game, i dunno where to find specs/engine codes and so forth at so any links you guys can provide will be helpful for me to learn. It has 54k miles, and i talked the guys down to 13,500 on the deal, they wanted alot more to start with.

Did i do good?

ty in advance.

Yes, id say you got a pretty good deal as long as the runs and drives well... You should be very happy with the car... they are a lot of fun especially when you start buying mods... good luck with your new purchase...

Congrats on the new ride.

I'm a new prelude owner since yesterday. I bought mine for $14,300 with 50,000 miles from one owner. It's a 1999 Honda Prelude Base Model in Ficus Green. The blue book differs from State to State but after reading some of your guys pricing I feel I paid for it in full.

But they are just great looking and riding cars.

Aye a few days later now, and i beleive its a SH, the vin doesnt say anything bout a SH when i gave it to insurance, they asked if it was and i told them no, but i read that SH's have leather wrapped shift knob/steering wheel, which this prelude i have has, and my friends 99 does not. Also going around corners i feel the car pull itself through corners, makes it really easy to take corners fast... Must... go... slow...

I had (obviously) a 91integra, and the power difference between this and that car??? *wow* I was at a stoplight lastnight with 2 friends in my car, a kid in a 3000gt pulled up next to me, he had his g/f with him im assuming it was anyway, and he did a fast takoff when the light changed, i did a normal take off and after 2nd gear vtec hit i blew by him. most definately something im not used to...

Mines a 99 with a leather wrapped steering wheel and knob. It's a factory option. I have the Base model.

The SH have different wheels. They have the 5 spoke straights. The Base come with the angled blade type. By looking at the vin Honda or the insurance company can tell you what the vin code means and if it's a base or a SH.
