Default First mods?

Hey, i own a 98 base model and i'm eager to start putting mods on it. I'm scatter-brained on where to start though. Should I save up first and buy the expensive things (rims, bodykit, etc.) or should I start with the less expensive things. (gauges, shiftknob, lighting etc.) Where would it be more efficent? I know I can't wait to do the suspension but what are good brands to go for for the money/quality? I'm going for the clean look yet can be quick when it needs to. Any help will be appreciated. thanks guys!

start w/ performance mods first, cold air intake, exhaust, header (not cheap), hi-flow cat, adjustable cam-gears, V-AFC and dyno tuning. Then do the body/rims and such... also, don't get gauges ... you don't need them unless oyu are turboing your car or something, they look gay. And lighting... just get an HID kit for the headlights and maybe some nice fogs, don't do anything else, thats just MY opinion thougvh.

First think of what you want to do with the car. Do you want speed or looks, or a bit of both. If it were me, I'd start off with the basic bolt ons, such as pullies, intake, exhaust, with looks, I'd go with a simple lip kit like OEM or WW rs kit. Then work on suspension. Like I said, thats what I would do.

Definaltly intake, exhaust, header, pullies, v-afc. Preludes have a lot of potential if you mod them right. Do performance first, then put on a good supension... Dont do any :ghey: ricer shit like neons or huge rims... Thats a good way to runin a nice car

Personally i'd lower it first. Cause they look ridiculous at stock height. Then work from there. probably header, intake, exhaust. It's all on what your preference is though.

dont just do cosmetics. thats like ****ing make-up. underneath you still got a base model with nothing other then a pretty face. you know what my car would do. rip out your headlights and skull **** it to death. so your tlaking the talk but if oyu try to walk the wlak your cars gonna be lined in chalk. you will end up working on your car later and shit performance wise and scratch shit up anyway im sure. dont ****ing do cosmetics. dam dude. i/h/e. first three things you do. and if you have money after the first three add a high flow cat while your at it. make it so your engine can breath first. your stock exaust and whatnot is like smoking. it clogs your lungs and makes you slower. cheap to replace quit smoking. or in this case add new cheap parts.
