One thing to consider is matching your top end parts. Many manufacturers design cams, cam gears, valve springs/retainers, etc. that will all work together. When you start mixing and matching brands, you have the potential to run into problems. Many companies will warranty their parts if you use everything together, but say you break a JUN cam while using Skunk2 cam gears, you're going to out of luck and $$.

I've seen a few pics and heard a number of stories of Crower cams breaking. I'm not saying don't get Crower, but it's something to think about. Consider other brands like Skunk2 and JUN. Prelude Type S cams may be another option, but I'm not too sure if they are a drop in.

good choice with the crower camshaft but i would not spend the money just getting a stage 1 cam personally.

why not just save a little bit more and get valve springs + retainers and get the stage 2 cams.

i agree, dont you want to impress all your friends reving to 8500-9000 safely?
not that ud make much peak up there but hey

anyway, yea i would probably get the JUN cams and the JUN valvetrain. if you can afford it. i think there is only one stage from JUN.

you could also go skunk2 or crower, but i think the best gains are from JUN, considering JUN had a crazy 4g h22 prelude on crack a while back.

but yea just get the same gears from the cam manufacturer. that way if they crack then u have some leverage.

stock valvetrain will be fine, although i think the type-s cams are under powered. i would recommend against type-s cams on a stock 10-1 CR h22a.
the type-s motor enjoys 220HP more-so from the CR then the cams
