System In 2000 prelude.. 1 12" or 2 10"
Sup all.... I was thinking about getting a system in my car and am currently trying to decide on getting either one 12" sub or two 10". Most likely picking up some IDQ's.. wondering which one you lude owners think is better for our cars??? ONE 12 or TWO 10s... HOLLA!

have you thought about two 12's? that's probably what i would do if i were to do it again. and are you putting the sub(s) in a custom enclosure or a box in the trunk? i guess my opinion would differ depending on how you plan to hook the sub(s) up.

I am planing to make a box for it.. trying to just use the space under the rear speakers. My plans for my system is nothing too crazy just want better sound quality and some bass. Dont need the entire neighborhood to hear me. Most concerned with good sound quality with the ability to bump when needed. So two 12's is prolly a lil more than I would need... and might be more space than I am willing to give up in my trunk... although the IDQs dont need a very big enclosure. Just wondering what other prelude owners currently have and if they are happy with it. I am just trying to decide on one 12" or two 10" IDQs was thinking about just one 15" for a while but I think i'd rather get 2 10's than one 15. Let me know what ya'll think.. holla

one 15 would be better than two tens, louder any way . My brother had one 12in in his camaro it was an IDQ, of course it was an ID MAX with two 450 watt amps on it. It would hit hard when the time was right I'd go with the twelve, it'll go deeper than the tens. Of course a lot depends on the type of music you listen too, if you listen to rock, then the two tens, bassier stuff I'd do the 12.

1 12" ?
Hi all,
I am very interested to get one subwoofer too for prelude 98.
Do you think if I can use 1 infinity 12"/with a box will fit right under the rear speaker space b/c I want to use the wider rear space to put my other stuff such as luggages.. etc. ; Or should I go with 1 10"/with a box. Hey guys, I heard the kappa perfect serie is very good. Thanks for your input.

my opinion.....
get one of those powered subs out of the RSX, great sound good bump, and a weight saver too, it mountes inside the spare tire itself, and u can utilize all your trunk space
or, if you are concerned with the weight, i've always been a fan of 12s myself, even though i had 8 10s in my BMW once..... that f*cker was L-O-U-D!!!!

Dude... I guess most prelude owners dont have systems in their cars?? Give some input. Ya'll think a 12" IDQ is enough or shall I spring for 2 10". Obviously the best thing to do is get a 12"IDMAX, but money does come into factor as well.. Give some input prelude owners help a brotha out..
