Default funky brakes?

I just did all four wheels on a 92 prelude. It's 4-wheel disc, and I replaced the front rotors and the pads on all four corners. Now the red dash brake light is on, and the brakes feel spongy. Anyone know what could be the cause? I didn't loosen any of the bleeder valves, so there shouldn't be any air in the system. The master cylinder actually gained fluid, since I pushed it all up through the system when I compressed the calipers. So, the level is really high. Could that be it? Thanks.
