Default Replacing Head Gasket

Hey guys,
I have a 1997 Prelude, how difficult would it be for me to install a new head gasket( I plan on buying the kit). I noticed oil in my coolant and coolant in my oil....So I think the head gasket is getting ready to go. Just wondering if anyone on here has done this to their lude.

It's not a real difficult job overall ... maybe just a bit time consuming if you've never done it before. You'll need to remove the timing belt, power steering, intake/exhaust manifolds, various sensors and wiring, as well as some other odds and ends. If you've got a service manual and another set of hands, you should be able to do the job on your own. Just take your time.

Depending on mileage and wear, you may want to take this opportunity to do some maintenance if it's needed (valve adjustment, belt replacement, gasket replacement, etc.).

How many miles do you have on the motor - are you running turbo? Just wondering why your head gasket would go.......

i have a 1993 prelude si h23 and when the car gets warm on a hot day it will smoke out the tail pipe white smoke and the coolant gets low in the radiator

but on normal days everything is perfect i live in california and it only happens when it gets hott outside

what do you think? also it only happened like 3 times when i pulled out of my driveway in reverse after using the car all day. But when i shifted to 1st and then 2nd the smoke dissapeard. thats kinda funny. This is a weird problem.

oohand my oil is not getting low ever. there is no water in the oil

i wonder if it could be my water pump or something wierd. i think its the head gasket but i just want some outside opinions
