well here's the deal that my friend proposed. ..

89 prelude si 5spd
200k+ on the odom
no clue on the engine ( supposedly did an engine swap. ..its a b20a tho so i cant tell if there ever was a swap )
when in reverse, theres a clicking in front of the passenger side. ..
p/w, moonroof, and cruise equipped
( no p/l, p/s, or radio )
interior needs a lot of work ( torn floor carpet )
exterior has a couple rust spots ( nothing big )
AND THE BIGGEST DRAWBACK IS. ..engine slowly leaking oil!

anyone kno where the leak can be coming from?

if not is it worth $500?

You get what you pay for.

 

i just bought an 89 prelude si for $500. it was close to yours, but in a lot better shape. 170K, 5 spd., power everything except locks, beautiful interior, oxidized and chipped paint, engine broke a timing belt and bent two valves. i got a hell of a deal on it. a couple hundred dollars in parts and the labor and now it purrs. i would say yours is worth $400.

 

The clicking sound is probably the cv joint. Check to see where its leaking oil from the head or the pan... or anywhere else.

 

It depends where you live.

Around here, any running Honda is worth at least $500.
