3rd gen prelude
i just bought an 89 si w/ 170k on the odometer. it had a broken timing belt and two bent valves. I'll tell you right now they are a b*tch to work on but now it runs perfectly. It's pretty fast too, especially if it's a 5 spd. I say if it's a good deal go for it. Good luck.

found one with a new engine with only 55k on it. its a 91 si 5spd 4ws. great condition. he is asking 3500. would that be a good price to pay?
as a 3rd gen owner i can tell u that they are fun to drive, especially if you have 4WS. Alot better around corners and on the highway. The only thing i find hard is that no one really makes aftermarket parts for 3rd gens no more so if you want aftermarket stuff, you have to look hard and have some dough. I bought my car for 200.00, only because the guy that had it before me abandoned the car, so my dad took it to his shop and got a new title and registration. The only thing wrong with the car then was the transmission. i guess the guy forgot to put tranny fluid and it messed up all the gears. Try and get the guy down to like 2000, if not then less.
u can get a decent 4g for 2000, ive even seen higher mileage VTEC 4th gen ludes for 2000 on ebay.
i sold my 90 si for 2200 about 6 months ago. but that car was immaculate inside and out. mint condition paint and dealer new interior, beautiful car, and i was thinkin about it the other day even tho i drive a 4g h22a1 now
