Default S2000 motor & tranny

Is it possible to drop a S2000 motor and tranny into a 98 Prelude SH? If so what other parts would I need?

ummm prelude = fwd s2000 = rwd.... its do able but u'd be pretty much be needing to rebuild the entire car itself to make it work...might as well buy an s2k i guess...that what i was told but it is do able with the right amount of money

by the way i looked into it when i picked up my last prelude ... i went from s2k motor to accord/cl v6 motor and now i just went jdm h22a type s its for sale too

add another few grand on top of that for the custom install and fab work. with $6000 you could do so much to an h22.

hmm, unless you wanted to make your lude RWD, which would cost 10's of thousands, getting an F20c swap would be absolutely silly.

absolutely silly?
i think it would be fricken cool. what i think would be even cooler is a rwd h22, with a 6speed tranny. sure, it would take a little bit of fab work, i know for a fact it can be done, and the only problem i forsee is getting the interior right, and their would be no trunk. but it could be done, i know i would do it.

There is another way around it...... If what you are looking for is RWD then the other guys are correct, it will be A LOT of work to convert the car. However, there is a kit floating around, search around for it, that will allow you to bolt up the f20c to the k20 tranny from an rsx-s and it will then be fwd.... I dont know the specifics on it but people on s2ki.com were talking about it a while back.

yup, pretty silly. instead of spending 20,000 bucks on fabrication on top of the 20,000 bucks you spent on buynig the car new (presumably), i'd rather have saved my money and bought me a brand new 2005 Elise.
