Default h22a problems.

Hello, I have a problem with my h22a prelude. First off, there is lack of performance overall. This lack is pretty large, I have a friend with a ls integra (both our cars are stock), and her car is about equal to mine (it shouldnt be). The integra seems to have about the same low end torque as my prelude, and almost as much high end horsepower. I dont get a check engine light, so there are no codes to go with, its making it very hard to find the problem. Besides the lack of performance, the only things that I can notice being out of place and possibly related all seem to point to my fuel.

1. after my car is completely warmed up and has been driven for a while, I'll stop to get some gas, and when I go to leave I'll have a problem starting my car. When I turn my key to the position where my fuel pump is supposed to run for 2 seconds it doesnt, so my engine will just try and try to start. It will take many turns of the key before the fuel pump cuts on again. I thought that it may have been my main relay, so I tried a known working relay and I still had the same problem. I have checked my fuel pressure and its fine.

2. another thing is if I downshift at high rpms, let say im in 3rd and I try to downshift into second when Im going about 40mph It feels like my fuel cuts off.

3. my idle also surges around 300-400 rpms when its warming up.

The strange thing is that sometimes, and this gets more and more rare, out of nowhere my car will run like it should. Im thinking that it may be my fuel pump causing all these problems. I plan on oredering one soon to test it.

Does anyone have any ideas? or have/had similiar problems? Thanks for the time and I appreciate any help.
