Is it really that Japan hates us, or is it some marketing decision, or are the cars not approved for emissions due to the increased compression ratio, or all of the above, or...?

Dude, their economy is based off of ours. We protect them since after WWII we said they weren't allowed to have an army, so if they f*ck us over (and I don't really see how they could by sending us the better version of cars) then they get f*cked too.

 

The reason we do not get certain cars over here is because of their emissions and power ratings.


We do not protect Japan. They are allowed to have an army, only large enough to protect themselves against a small attack. (hence the japanese navy helping us in IRAQ). They must also give detailed reports of the current size of their military, and we must grant them permission if they want to increase the size of it.

 

Are the emissions directly related to the power rating? That is, higher power equals more emissions? If so, that totally makes sense.

But one thing I don't understand - shouldn't Japan, with its lack of space, more MORE concerned with pollution than we are??
