Default Some Prelude help

Theres a good chance I will be buying this 93 prelude vtec with the H22A1. its has
17in rim enkiens with low profile tires. The car has been lowered a few inches i dont know is the spings were cut or suspention was put on which leaves me with this question. When i test drove the car every time I run over a hole in the road it hit very hard. the ride was very rough. Is this beacuse of the low profile tires or the because of the suspention?

both, but mostly the suspension. Thats definitely a sign of shitty suspension. I would try to find out what the previous owner has done to the susp. before purchasing it.

The cars is at a dealership so i cant get backround info. So the ride should be smooth. Because the tries are very low profile.

it's part tires, but a rough reaction to potholes doesn't mean it's a shit suspension, it means that the dampers are stiff, which for some people is a good thing.

the best way to tell if it's an aftermarket susp or cut springs is to look inside the wheelwell, and look at the actual springs. are they a different color (aka not black with road dust, and powdercoated red or something like that. the shock will prob be a diff color too like white as opposed to grey or black)? also a cheap suspension would probably bounce around, as opposed to react stiffly to road imperfections.
