Default prelude question please help me.........

i might be trading my civic for this 94 or 95 prelude..5spd. what is the horsepower of this car? and how do they run?

is this even a vtec motor?

yeah its vtec, stock it has about 190hp and about 15.1 second 1/4 miles but with a header and a CAI it should be around 210-215 (guess). if i were you i would definetily make that trade.
The first thing you should do is see if the owner has the original taillights or replace them with the stock ones. the biggest problem with 4th generation preludes is that they are too heavy.

Tell me you are joking. Please.

Can you not see the huge ass VTEC in the middle of the engine bay? I dunno, to me it seems plainly apparent.

Take out the back seats... spare tire.... a/c and it's about the same weight as an integra coupe.

edit: also. stock redline is either 7200 or 7400. What it is on THAT car... I don't know.

if the 4th gen preludes are too heavy, then what are the 5th gen preludes?

stock 1/4 mi time in a 4th gen should be 15.4 according to most major magazines.

and there's no way a CAI and DC header will give you 25 hp. more like 5 or 6, depending on where in the curve you're talking about.
