Default rear deck metal.

guys, i want to completely cut off the metal piece that is between the trunk, and the back seats.

i want to do this so that the bass can pass freely to the front,

anyone know if this can be done? or does this little metal frame keep up the seats completely?

also, about how many square feet, will it take to cover the cars interior with dynamat? 100? 150? 175?

IF you are referring to the part under the package tray-DON'T. Honda is not known for wasting materials. Second-the fact it is there has little inpact on the performance of your stereo. How much Dynamat-seems you do not understand that it is NOT necessary to cover every bit of the car's interior for the stuff to work. Not only that-it gets very heavy and horribly expensive very quickly. Read the Dynamat and Cascade websites before doing the project.

Yeah, that's a serious undertaking to remove the crossmember. Not only do you not gain anything sound wise, but much more importantly the structural integrity of the car is compromised seriously. Imagine getting hit from behind or to the side rear..... you could easily sever the car in to two pieces.
