I too have a 98 SH. Did yours have
clunking noise @ the front and rear?

 

The clunking noise is only on cold days due to the suspension part. I am not sure which part that shrinks due to the cold. I live in Fort Lauderdale thus it is quite warm here in winter. One would only get it if it's below 45 degrees.

The clunking noise goes away when warmer weather. There was a fix on this I think it's on vtec.net under prelude section somewhere with some rings insertion.

I want to thank you all for your input. I do like the style on the 99-01's so I think I will look there. As for the trans I will go with the 5 sp standard because I am a little rough with my cars.

 

i believe honda attributed the HP differences to a "re-designed" stock exhaust manifold

its basically BS
however its more believable that all USDM h22's are closer to 200 than 190 and that honda underated rather then overated horsepower figures

look what happened when hyundai overated the 02 model year, they got bitch slapped
