Default type-S h22 cam question

yes thats right fellas
old boomer needs some help

i picked up some h22 type-S cams and skunk2 gears for my personal h22a1 4g

being the skeptic that i am, i basically need to know how to identify and legitimize these cams, as far as markings to prove they are genuine type-s, etc.

i really cant see a noticable difference between my stock h22a1 cams and these little guys

heres what i know:
one cam is marked with a "1" and a "K" between two of the bearing surfaces

the other is marked with a "C" and a "L" in the same spots

i really need to know from someone who has had or has these cams, what to look for as far as markings, etc.

HELP ME OUT

I imagine they obviously look like these: ...I've been looking for a close up of the cams to try to see the lettering at many sites...you've helped mad people on this site, it's only right to try to return the favor. I'm going to contact Top End Motorsports tomorrow (11-10-03) to see if they can give me more info on specific lettering of the type S cams...

I'll keep up posted bro

thanx dude
i appreciate it
ive looked everywhere and no one seems to know anything about markings,
im confident that they are real, i just had my car out a min ago with the new tranny in it (it seems like my personal car gets the least attention of all lately)
i can burn second gear for about 3 solid seconds now with the ACT and i also assume the cams have a hand in it

on a technical note, i did notice that there were little "re-inforcements" between the cam lobes on the typeS cams, and my old cams didnt have that, so i assume its because the lobes are taller and honda is trying to prevent them from cracking.

anyway thanks again, im interested to see what top-end says

man look at the lame e-mail I got back from Top End...

Sorry, but our connection to JDM parts fell through, so we are not currently
carrying them.

Thanks,
Phil

your probably not gonna be able to see the extra lift and duration from stock compared to type-s lobes, it's literally like less than a mm taller, sorry I have no other input to add, cuz I never physically held the type-s cams so its hard for me to say.

i don't have a clue about the markings but when i bought my type s cams they were in honda oem packaging shipped straight from Japan so i guess no complaints there
they are supposed to add 15-20 hp in the top end combined with the type s 11:1 pistons
i noticed a hugu diff in my torque at about 5250 rpm or a little pas VTEC engagement
hope this helps
