Default '00 Prelude + 17X7 5-spoke TSX rims + Brembo?

Hello,

I am seriously considering purchasing a set of 5-spoke (gunmetal 17x7) TSX option wheels for my Honda Prelude SH.

I'm also interested in fitting a set of Brembo brakes at a later time and I'd like an opinion on fitment.

Both my stock SH rims and the TSX rims share the same +55mm offset. The size differences are 16x6.5" vs. 17x7".

Will I be able to fit Brembos with these wheels? With -5mm spacers?

Thanks!

a brembo big brake kit? not sure you're gonna have to look at the fitment schematics and figure that out for yourself. i'm guessing that wheel will fit a rotora kit, but i'm not sure about the brembo.

So you are guessing that even with 5mm wheel spacers the Brembos will not fit?

hmm my gut feeling is that they will. 17" wheels are usually enough to clear most calipers.

Heightwise, the calipers will clear for sure (on the TSX rims). It is the thickness of the Brembo calipers that bother me with these wheels.

From the Brembo schematic I measured a necessarry 7/8" clearance from the bell to the spokes of the wheel. On the opposite side of the caliper it's about the same.

I'll have to buy a single wheel and make sure once it's test fitted on the car.

Thanks Monkey!
