Default general 4th gen tire question...

hey, so I know the standard tire size for the 4th gen Si is 205/55/15, but as this cold, dark, depressing season of winter descends on the northern states, I'll need to slap some winter rubber on. I was looking towards getting a set of bridgestone blizzak LM-22s, but the closest size I can get to OEM recommended is 195/55/15s. Will those fit on the OEM Honda alloys?

I agree w/ Pikka...Double check with local guys to make sure of the fit. Once you find your size, try these guys for good deals:

Well, I called discount tire today, the guy said that yeah, the tire will fit, but I think he might've thought I meant, in general, can I use this tire size with my vehicle, rather than with my vehicle AND it's oem wheels. I'll check somewhere else tomorrow just to be safe, but I'm guessing that I should be able to fit them. I would just go with regular Blizzaks, but my Yoko Avids are so worn and bare that I'm not sure I can trust them until it starts to snow. The LM-22s are supposed to have better wear on dry surfaces, better than the WS-40 Blizzaks anyway. Thanks for those links, I'll check em out.

you'll be ok.

i've seen 225/50/15 hoosiers shoehorned onto a 6.5" wheel, and 205/50/15 azenis put onto a 7 wheel. it's only a 10 mm diff from stock so it'll be fine.

Cool, thanks. Yeah, I guess I didn't tax my brain too hard when thinking about it, the 195 is only the tread patch width, not the width of the tire where it meets the lip of the wheel. Thanks again. Lol, I'm so poor right now, I might end up just buying these tires one at a time until I get 4 ...so sad.
