internals on turbo/nitrous
what internals should i get for a 4th gen vtec prelude, if i want too get a DRAG stage 3 turbo kit with a NOS Nozle direct port nitrous system? And which brands would you guys recomend? Any links?
spraying on boost actually helps cool off the intake charge...
btw, the intake charge temp is a major determining factor in detonation, thats why a FMIC is important, so a -------------------

all in all, nos on a turbo is good as long as the block can handle the power.
in order of weakest link from top to bottom
-rods
-pistons
-cylinder walls
-head gasket (especially open deck)
stock honda crank is good to 1000 HP
(recommend main/rod bearing change, use KING)
(recommend copper head gasket)
(recommend most sleeves other than "golden eagle")
(recommend crower rods over eagle rods)
(recommend JE "forged dish pistons" + JE rings)
the last 2 are pretty much a tie, on an h22a the FRM walls will disintegrate relatively quickly under boost, causing serious oil loss in a short period of time, the engine will still run initially, as opposed to a head gasket blown due to detonation, so depending on how u look at it, the head gasket will make your engine not run, and stock cylinder wall will make your engine run a little longer but burn oil until the level drops below pickup and you blow your turbo and/or a main/rod bearing.
a stock h22a1 will take a 120 shot of direct port NOS once in a while, with good plugs, good oil, and good stock injectors.
otherwise...boom
do i recommend spraying a 120 shot on your stock h22a1...NO
but it has been done before without any immediately evident issues...
except the issue of running a 12.7-12.9 on a stock motor with a 120 shot of NOS
GOOD FUEL MANAGEMENT AND TUNING ARE CRUCIAL IN MAKING GOOD BOOSTED POWER OUT OF A "HONDA" and/or a "DOHC VTEC" MOTOR
--->sorry bout the edit, but i remembered i wasnt supposed to discuss the details of that subject<---
