my 5th gen hops like crazy everytime i launch it around 2.5k rpm or higher .....whats up with this could it be my tire haveing to much grip or is this common problem for the 5th gen???

 

I cant say exactly what causes it but yes it's common on the 5th gens. However if you launch higher, say around 4k and let the clutch slip a bit the launches are both better for speed and much smoother.

 

whenever I had my Prelude, I would get wheel hop pretty bad, but only on certains surfaces. I guess its depends on the condition of the street you're on. Some streets I'd have wheel hop and other I'd launch pretty smooth. I would usually lauch around 3K-4K
