I've had my Prelude for about two months now and it ROCKS. This car is a pretty quick, very agile, and is rediculously easy to drive. I've put a nice 12" RF 800W sub in it and that's really fun. So enough yabba ... I wanna get some aftermarket parts under the hood! But I don't have a clue of what company to buy from or what store to get them at. But I do know what parts are out there and what they do performance-wise. What are some good aftermarket companies that I should look into? Where can I get parts?

I'm specifically looking into modifying my ECU and came across hondata. They look really good, but it's kinda expensive and I'm not sure if their software will run very well on my 486 laptop. Any mods I can do to increase performance relating to the ECU? Any other cheap mods I can do not relating the ECU? Oh btw, it's an automatic. I know ... autos are kinda lame, but the car is in excellent condition and I got it for 1.5k so it was a good deal.

Body kits? All the kits I've ever seen for the 3rd gen are completely ugly. I like my body the way it is. So I'm not wanting that.

playing with the ECU won't do much anyway......you should go with a CAI, header, nice 2.25"-2.5" exhaust, maybe some suspension upgrades, but the ECU probably doesn't have that many options since it's OBD0.....maybe a chip or JET upgrade, but still, not a lot to be gained there......you could always go the motor swap route.....nitrous is also an option

A new manifold is almost a must, mine's pretty smashed on the bottom of the car which obviously limits power pretty significantly. Although the bent part isn't too impacted I guess ... manifolds rock, that will be my first expensive hop-up.

What's a CAI?

Lowering the car would be very cool. New rims/tires would also kick ass. That's pretty expensive also, so I'm not gonna do that soon. It would reduce weight and greatly improve performance because it's a rotating part. ... And its the part that ya want rotated too

Would a new exhaust make me a cop magnet? My car's yellow and I like to play subs pretty loud, so I dunno about adding to the magnetism. Plus, I like to drive pretty quick whenever possible. Not really speeding, but cornering and accellerating fast. What do you think?
