PLEASE HELP ! who would win ?
when it comes down to the cars i would say the prelude would win but thats only half of the race. the driver is a key component to the racecar if one of yall cant drive then the other will win. i have seen a neon with a few mods nothing major race a 89 mustang 5.0 GT and stomp him even though he was over powered he can drive very well and stomped the mustang in the 1/8th. so i say that there isnt really enough info to determine the winner.
right but we're past that already, the fact alone that he's asking on in the prelude section of a "car board" should show that the question has nothing to do with driving, or driver's skill, but just the barebones comparison of two cars, so just imagine two robots driving the cars, programmed exactly the same way.
i think the teg will win because i dont think you know how to launch your car, you might take him in 3rd if you know how to shift
but judging by how many questions your asking about racing and launching your car i think he's got an advantage (having been to the track and all)
my advice to you:
go out alone at night and find a deserted straight road, and practice launching your car.
i happen to have about 15-20 miles or protected seashore beach near me, and at night the one hwy that parallels it is totally deserted (MIDNIGHT CLUB!)
so when i first got my car i practiced down there alone
i usually launch at about 3k rpms, and slip the clutch about half-way until it grabs and then give it WOT
sphinx: i routinely race z28's, 5.0's, T/A's, WRX's, etc.
i usually pull about 2 cars on the muscle cars until they catch me in 3rd gear, but thats the 1/8th mile for ya
and apparently i have become good enough at launcing that i can hang with WRX's off the line.

If not the cylinder walls are too thin.
