I would suggest Amazon.com: Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Standard Zoom Lens for Canon DSLR Cameras: Electronics
For slightly better range. I have this one and it's a nice walk around lens.
This is my next lens...probably going to pick it up this month.

I had seen his blog, posted a want ad on pentaxforums.com, and he PM'ed me that he was looking to sell his. Score!
Only thing left to buy is a f/2.8 normal zoom, otherwise I have:
Pentax 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (kit lens)
Pentax 70-210mm f/4-5.6 (AF)
Sigma 28mm f/1.8 (AF)
Vivitar 55mm f/2.8 macro (MF)
Albinar 135mm f/2.8 (MF)

Yes yes yes I just won an ebay auction for a lightly-used Tamron 17-50/2.8 for $355 woo hoo!!!
I ain't buying SHIT any more. Well except for a tripod and maybe another SD card, and maybe yet another camera bag to complement the 4 I already have but probably not on the bag.
Anyone want a Pentax kit zoom?

Sweet buy, its always worth putting a little extra in to get some real quality glass.
